Rendercore Lab Now Supports Arnold 2.3.33 for 3dsmax!

  • Polygon meshes can now be exported as quads, instead of triangles. An option was added to the rendering options to switch between the two modes, quad exportation being the slower. When set to Auto, only objects with subdivision and/or displacement are exported as quads, producing the correct result when subdivided by Arnold.

  • Shadow group now exposed in the Arnold properties, to select which lights cast shadows on a per-object base.

  • Seven c++ shaders have been removed, replaced by networks of Arnold native nodes. This facilitates rendering exported .ass files with kick under any operating system.

  • All of the Arnold Properties can now be animated, including visibility.

  • Basic support for the 3ds Max Matte and Shadow material.

  • Azimuthal roughness added to the standard_hair shader.

  • Memory leak when exporting a .ass sequence.

  • Crash when disconnecting normal bump map in ActiveShade.

  • Normal bump map not rendering correctly when connected to the physical material.
